Her prep for the shoot was assembled well, having sent me and the other model her visions, as well as collaborating with the brand Okwuis Bijoux. The clothes and shoot locations chosen by Karis were relevant, she knew her vision and concept and directed our poses accordingly. Additionally, she brought a lovely assistant along in order to make the models experience enjoyable - ensuring that we travelled to the locations easily and that we were warm enough when shooting outdoors. Karis was also kind enough to do a freestyle shoot at the end of the session where myself and the other model could wear our own clothes that we liked. She was truly appreciative of our collaboration to the project and is always looking for new ways to network with creative collaboratives. Although we were facing harsh weather conditions she kept the shoot light and did not panic under pressure. She encouraged each of us girls, suggesting poses and complimenting what worked. The styling of the dresses for the shoot were great and the Barbican was a great location for her concept surrounding architecture.
